AFC Foundation: A Fighter’s Chance

If you’re an individual or a business who wants immediate results in your community, and you want to foster positive change in your city and surrounding area(s), then you’re in the right place.

Many people think fight training is brutal and promotes anger, misbehavior, and violence. However, real training with mentorship produces completely opposite result(s), and this is what A Fighter’s Chance operates by. It is the one thing everyone can do to push themselves daily to feel successful and live with an elevated (and more accurate) level of self-esteem. It provides an outlet to release stress, frustration, and anger in a proper way — a controlled way.

Proper training creates a bond with others, along with fostering a team atmosphere and attitude. It assists the depressed person’s brain to focus on other things and forces the body to feel energized. Among a long list of many other benefits includes lowered anxiety levels, and in many cases, discovering an effective, drug-free method to navigate through the trauma and negative, often debilitating aspects of living with PTSD.

Training with Mentorship is the Right Approach

Training with proper mentorship is similar to playing chess with your own body and mind, along with that of your training partner’s or opponent(s). It is a way to visualize, create, and actually experience real success physically, mentally, and emotionally. It is a proven system for building self-esteem and self-worth, learning to set short and long term goals, and finding the drive and motivation to reach those goals.

Through the right mentorship we can help change people’s character and work ethic. With these tools, we can reshape the futures of kids and young adults. We have seen this work first-hand. Their self-esteem and self-worth quickly improves, and they start to become a productive part of our team. Once this occurs, they are removed from all destructive path(s) created through bad behavior, criminal behavior or chemical dependencies.

That’s a huge accomplishment in itself, but it isn’t the only goal. What separates AFC from other organizations is what we require from our program participants. All of those on scholarship in our program must put 12 hours a month back into our community. With the finances to sponsor 50 people in our program on scholarship, our financial sponsors and donors are injecting 600 hours of community service back into our community!

We can’t change lives without your donationswe need your support!
